Size & Fit Guide
The Marimaré Size & Fit Guide
Know your fit. Own your look. Every piece is chosen to make you feel powerful — here’s how to make sure it fits that way.
Understanding the Problem: Why Sizing Kills Conversions in Bold Fashion
Latex and PVC are unforgiving materials — they don’t stretch the same way cotton does, and customers know this. Shapewear requires precise measurements to deliver the promised silhouette. Lingerie sizing varies wildly by brand.
Your customers — content creators, models, performers, and women dressing for special occasions — cannot afford to get it wrong. They need to look and feel incredible, not deal with returns.
The fix isn’t just a size chart. It’s a confidence tool that speaks in Marimaré’s voice.
Category Breakdown: What Each Product Type Needs
Different categories come with different fit anxieties. Here’s how we approach each:
- Latex & PVC / Leather-look: Customers fear it being too tight or unwearable. Needs bust, waist, hip measurements + stretch guidance.
- Shapewear: Customers fear it rolling down or not compressing correctly. Needs waist and hip measurements + body type guidance.
- Lingerie: Customers fear cup sizing being off. Needs underbust, bust, and hip measurements.
- Heels & Boots: Customers fear ordering the wrong EU/UK/US conversion. Needs foot length in cm + width note.
- Stockings & Accessories: Generally one-size or S/M/L — needs height/weight range guidance.
How to Measure Yourself
Grab a soft measuring tape. Measure directly against your skin, not over clothing. Stand naturally — don’t hold your breath or pull the tape tight.
The 3 key measurements you’ll need:
- Bust — Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
- Waist — Measure around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above your belly button.
- Hips — Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, usually 8–10 inches below your waist.
Write these down. You’ll use them every time you shop with us.
Latex, PVC & Leather-Look Pieces
Latex and PVC are form-fitting by design — that’s the point. They’re meant to hug every curve. Here’s how to get your size right:
- Size down if you're between sizes. These materials have minimal give, so a snug fit is intentional and looks better on camera and in person.
- Check the bust and hip measurements first — these are the most critical for dresses and bodysuits.
- If your waist is significantly smaller than your hips, go by your hip measurement and use a belt or cinching accessory to define your waist.
| Size | Bust (cm) | Waist (cm) | Hips (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 80–84 | 60–64 | 86–90 |
| S | 84–88 | 64–68 | 90–94 |
| M | 88–94 | 68–74 | 94–100 |
| L | 94–100 | 74–80 | 100–106 |
| XL | 100–108 | 80–88 | 106–114 |
Tip: Putting on latex is easier with a little body powder or on slightly damp skin. Take your time — it’s worth it.
Shapewear & Bodysuits
Shapewear works by compression — so fit matters more here than anywhere else. Too small and it’s uncomfortable. Too large and it won’t give you the silhouette you’re after.
- Measure your waist and hips. These are your two most important numbers for shapewear.
- If you're between sizes, size up. Comfort over compression — you can always enhance the shape with styling.
- High-waist pieces: Also measure your torso length (from shoulder to hip) if the product description includes torso sizing.
| Size | Waist (cm) | Hips (cm) | Weight Range (approx.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 63–68 | 89–94 | 50–60kg |
| M | 68–74 | 94–100 | 60–70kg |
| L | 74–80 | 100–106 | 70–80kg |
| XL | 80–88 | 106–114 | 80–92kg |
Lingerie & Sets
Lingerie sizing is about the band and cup working together. Here’s a quick guide:
- Band size = your underbust measurement in cm, rounded to the nearest even number.
- Cup size = the difference between your bust and underbust measurement.
| Difference | Cup Size |
|---|---|
| 12–14 cm | A |
| 14–16 cm | B |
| 16–18 cm | C |
| 18–20 cm | D |
| 20–23 cm | DD / E |
Not sure? Go a cup size up. A slightly fuller fit often photographs better and feels more confident.
Heels & Boots
Shoe sizing varies between brands and countries. Always go by foot length in cm for the most accurate fit.
| EU | UK | US | Foot Length (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 36 | 3 | 5.5 | 22.5 |
| 37 | 4 | 6.5 | 23.5 |
| 38 | 5 | 7.5 | 24.0 |
| 39 | 6 | 8.5 | 25.0 |
| 40 | 7 | 9.5 | 25.5 |
| 41 | 8 | 10.5 | 26.5 |
| 42 | 9 | 11 | 27.0 |
For wide feet: size up half a size, especially in pointed-toe heels and fitted boots.
Stockings & Hosiery
Most stockings are sized by height and weight. Use this as your guide:
| Size | Height | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| S/M | 155–168cm | 50–65kg |
| M/L | 165–178cm | 60–80kg |
| L/XL | 175–185cm | 75–95kg |
